The nearest beach to Blue Dolphin is in the nearby resort of Filey, just 2 miles away. Largely undeveloped, the beach offers perfect sand backed by low cliffs of boulder clay. Take a family stroll along the shore down to the great little café at Hunmanby Gap and beyond to the start of Flamborough Cliffs. A short walk along the beach takes you to the rockpools of Filey Brigg which is famous for its angling.
Filey is a traditional English seaside town well known for the quality of its Fish & Chip shops. It has been a seaside resort since Edwardian times and a fishing village for much longer. It is smaller and more refined than Bridlington and Scarborough and there is much less noisy development on the sea front.
