Burnham-on-Sea's Beach - Opposite Park

Beach at Burnham-on-Sea

You are able to access Burnham’s award-winning beach across a small quiet road, with steps down to the sand. A predominantly sandy beach patrolled by lifeguards, it is great for both swimming and paddling, and also features donkey rides and kids' entertainment in the summer. Watersports are catered for too with a separate launch area for boats and jet skis.

The famous pier (the shortest in Britain) is just a few short steps away and there are various shops and cafes close by. The town itself is now a popular tourist destination, and offers a fine range of things to do and places to eat, including the local lighthouses, a Napoleonic Fort, Brean Down bird garden and a 14th century church. There's also great shopping, local crafts and outdoor activities including sailing and golf to be found in this thriving seaside resort.
