Park Views at Greenacres

Park Warden of the Month

Dennis Hicks - Greenacres Holiday Park

How long have you been a Touring Warden at your present Park?
4 Years
Best part of your job?
I love meeting new people and also seeing families come back to the park several times throughout the year. I take great pride in the facilities we have here at Greenacres and understand the importance of making sure they are in tip top condition for all our guests
How do you see the future for touring on your Park?
Touring at Greenacres just keeps getting better each year, especially for 2010 with our recently refurbished facilities, which we believe will further enhance the holiday experience of our guests.
Best local attraction/event in the area:
As beaches go, Black rock sands beach is hard to beat! The best thing is we have access to the beach direct from the park which makes it so easy to take the kids off for the day, you could even pop back to the caravan for lunch it's so close!
The Ffestiniog railway is great for families. I’ve lived here all my life and haven taken my own children on regular occasions, we still love taking the grand children now.
Touring Tip:
Bring lots of energy because you’re going to need it to do all the activities on park and in the surrounding area! .
On 'arrival' or 'departure' what is the one thing you would like guests to do/remember:
Although I live on the park, if you are going to arrive very late or early please let us know so I can be there to meet you personally. Please make sure unless previously arranged you leave your pitch by 11am and ensure your pitch is left as you would like to find it.

Dream Holiday at Reighton Sands

Tent Field at Reighton Sands

To get the most out of your holiday I strongly suggest you check-out Reighton Sands as this is a stunning park with georgeous panoramic views and direct beach access, there is a tractor train for those who need a lift and plenty to do on site with 2 bars, swimming pool, bowling, arcades and a good traditional chippy. The park is central to local attractions and whether you turn left or right out of the park you will find something in both directions.

Scarborough to the right offers a promanade with fairground, amusements and my favourite speed boat rides and hourly cruises, if you turn left you will come to Bridlington Harbour, this is a lovely place to visit for fishing, sailing, fairground attractions and powerboating. To summerise Reighton Sands is in a prime coastal location with everything you could dream of and more!
